David Loynaz
David Loynaz co‑founded the independent production company Camarote Films, where he has directed and written music videos, video‑art pieces, and both fiction and documentary projects. As a co‑screenwriter, he contributed to the short film La noche rota, shown at Mecal 2022 (Barcelona) and the Sehsüchte 2022 festival (Berlin). He directed the documentary short Colores for Costa Rica’s Ministry of Culture cultural‑points program. His work El vergel de los sueños húmedos screened at international festivals such as EstoEsParaEsto, Videotitlán (Mexico/Chile), and the Shnit 2021 national short‑film competition in Costa Rica. He also produced the short Albura, selected for the Ícaro Central American Film Festival and the Costa Rican International Film Festival. In 2023 he launched the Trilogía Decimonónica project—a series of three short fiction films examining colonial and republican identity in Costa Rica.
